About Black Eagle Martial Arts
Black Eagle Martial Arts, located in West Des Moines, Iowa, was founded in 2012 by Grandmaster Young Gul Son and is led by Head Master Brandon Son. We offer expert instruction in three traditional martial arts: Taekwondo, Hapkido, and Kuhapdo.
Our mission is to preserve the cultural values of martial arts while providing modern, high-quality training. We serve students of all ages, from 5 to over 70, with programs tailored to each age and skill level. Every student trains in an environment that fosters discipline, growth, and confidence.
In addition to our local impact, we maintain strong global ties with schools in Korea, Central and South America, and Europe, offering students diverse cultural exposure and international connection.
