Royce Gracie Academy of Missouri was formed by Royce Gracie's direct black belt and tri-state native in 2023 who personally teaches each kids and adults class. Our goal is to provide the highest quality self-defense instruction based on realistic self-defense techniques and survival tactics to the most common bullying or violent attack scenarios. We aim to build confidence and resilience for the bullied, timid, unathletic child; the beginner and unathletic working adult that wants to safely learn to protect themselves and their family while getting in shape; and teachers and first responders as our first line of protection with the most comprehensive, effective self-defense and anti-bullying system ever conceived.

You’ll learn from Royce Gracie’s 173rd direct black belt in the world, a lineage that connects the academy to one of the most recognizable names in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The coaching approach centers on practical self-defense, so you can expect instruction that emphasizes fundamentals, clear technique, and training you can apply with confidence. Beginners are supported through belt-rank progression and the fundamentals path, while more advanced students can continue developing through the full Gracie Jiu-jitsu curriculum.
