OBX Soundside MMA

We are OBX Soundside MMA, where if you're ready to be all in on you, so are we. We are the only kids jiujitsu program in the Outer Banks, located in Nags Head. We offer Jiujitsu, NoGi jiujitsu, MMA, Kickboxing, Cardio kickboxing, Judo, women's only classes, and are continuously adding different styles and elements to our list of classes. We have instructors who don't just talk the talk, the actually lead by example and harness the motto that a rising tide raises all ships. Our gym is not an "us against the world" type of atmosphere. We promote and welcome cross training whether you're an out of towner or a local. Through jiujitsu we believe we can turn ripples into waves, on and off the mats, one day at a time. David Henry and Laura Henry lead the coaching at OBX Soundside MMA, giving students access to instruction from a pair of named instructors within the academy’s adult Jiujitsu, kids Jiujitsu, Judo, Kickboxing, MMA, and fitness programs. You can expect a training environment built for steady progress, where the class mix supports first-time students as well as people who want to keep sharpening their skills across multiple martial arts. The setup is especially appealing if you want to learn in Nags Head with coaches who can guide both grappling and stand-up training.
