About Urban Defense

The Urban Defense Center is where protecting yourself and getting in shape go hand-in-hand.

Self-defense is a core element of the Urban Defense Center. We understand that self-defense is not an easy topic; but it's better to have the skills and not need them, than need the skills and not have them.

Unlike MMA gyms, traditional martial arts schools or fitness centers, the Urban Defense Center combines the techniques of ancient and traditional martial arts to create a practical program of defense for urban living in a relaxed environment.

Whether you are looking for beginning martial arts, strictly fitness, advanced technical training, or a home-based self-defense tutorial, Urban Defense has what you need!

The classes are unparalleled to what you will receive in your average gym. We like to call it "group personal training".

Master Lawrence also offers personal training services that are catered to the individual.

Join us at Philly's #1 spot for Martial Arts, Fitness, & Personal Protection!
